Benefit Football tournament in São Paulo

On Thursday the 1st of November in São Paulo, F1 Felipe Massa along with Stock Car drivers and former football players held matches at Morumbi stadium in benefit of the AACD institution. The athletes distributed toys to the children with special needs, who got to watch their idols up close and personal.

The tournament had three teams; oranges, whites and blues. The orange team had drivers Felipe Massa, Popó Bueno of São Luiz Hot Car (Chevrolet), Thiago Camilo of Texaco Vogel (Chevrolet), Luciano Burti of Cimed Racing (Volkswagen), Allam Khodair of Boettger Competições (Chevrolet) and Marcos Gomes of Medley/ A. Mattheis (Chevrolet), as well as César Sampaio. They were champions after beating the blue team with a 4×3 score. Thiago Camilo scored two goals and Popó Bueno two more.

Stock Jr. driver Cássio Homem de Mello was in the blue team and was one of the happiest to help the children and also have the opportunity of playing football on his home team’s stadium. “It’s a thrill to be able to play here. An honour,” he declared.

Also a fan of the São Paulo team, Antonio Pizzonia was in the whites. He commented; “I can run very well, I’m in good shape, but I lack the skills. That said, what matters here is that we’re having fun and seeing old friends. All of this for a god cause.”
