Maluhy bets on timing for a win in Taruma

Felipe Maluhy finished in fifth position in Buenos Aires and is betting on timing to get to the title. The Terra Racing (Mitsubishi) driver points out that there are still other drivers to worry about other than the 10 Playoffs, and they are all fighting for top positions and wins.

“We will be amongst drivers who are not in the Playoffs but are very fast and competitive. It will be a question of administering the race, because it’s not worth it to go after adversaries all the time and risk staying out of the race”, explains Maluhy.

The points summed in Argentina renewed Maluhy’s spirits, who is now more aware of what he must do to the win the title. “There’s no point in being aggressive in the next race only to make a mistake. I am quite conscious of what I have to do and Cacá is running very strong and very well. He has the best overall conjoined factors, such as his car, which will make it quite difficult to take the championship from him but eventually, everyone runs into problems. I’m not rooting for him to make mistakes, I’m only hoping to perform better and catch up on points,” Felipe concluded.
