Stock Car Light winner in Brasília: Luis Carreira Jr.

On an extremely hot Sunday in Brasília (23/09), Stock Car Light had a new winner for its seventh round: Luís Carreira Jr., from Carreira Racing. The driver participated in his second race of the season, both with successful podiums. In Curitiba he finished in second. Pole position Gustavo Sondermann, FTS Competições, came in second, followed by Alexandre Cunha, Scuderia Tekprom.

“I am so happy to have won in such a strong category. My car was in excellent shape but it was a tough conquest. However, I am under little pressure, coming in so late into the competition, that I can race easier”, declared Carreirinha.

Championship leader Norberto Gresse of AMG Motorsport crossed the finish line in sixth, whilst vice-leader André Bragantini, Nova/ RR Competições, was close behind in eighth place.

Overall, it was said that Carreira Jr. won with relative ease, suffering little pressure from his fellow competitors. An almost two month recess will surely heat things up however, as the next Stock Car Light round will take place in Rio de Janeiro on the 18th of November.

The top 3 drivers stand as follows; in first place is Norberto Gresse with 111 points, followed by André Bragantini, 88 points, and Gustavo Sondermann with 72 points.
