Tango and Samba in Buenos Aires

If Carlos Gardel, known as the singing bird were alive, he would certainly be at the tracks in Buenos Aires to see the biggest auto-racing category in South America. Tango was Gardel’s strong point, and the emotion this dance transmits is similar to the excitement that people have when they see 38 Stock Cars in the starting grid. And on the 14th of October, these cars will glide on the smooth tracks of Autodromo Oscar Alfredo Galvez, in the argentine capital.

the difference between the sport and the dance lies in the rhythm of the music. The perfect harmony between man and woman, or man and machine makes spectators smile. Music brings joy to the soul and the engine’s roar stirs it, making hearts beat faster. Carlos Gardel was born in 1890 and died in Colombia in a fateful plane accident. The King of melancholic music thrived on challenge and that will be so in the Playoffs, which will take place in the final four rounds, starting in Buenos Aires. 10 drivers will face off with a series of challenges ahead of them. This will be the third time the category performs in the city, and the 14th of October will mark the day that Brazilian Stock Car makes history in Buenos Aires.

We’ll wait for you there!
