In Stock Car Light, Gustavo Sondermann is pole position
This Saturday, Gustavo Sondermann from FTS Competições, conquered his second pole position of the 2007 Stock Car Light season, with an astounding record-breaking time of 1min02sec150. Sondermann commented: “Thank God! This came at a very good time as it takes the pressure off of the results from Curitiba. This pole was well deserved, considering the work we do to face our competitors. We have to celebrate and prepare ourselves for the race tomorrow.”
Joining Gustavo in the lead is Luis Carreira Jr., from Carreira Racing, who set a time of 1min02sec232, followed by Sondermann’s teammate Rafael Sperafico, with 1min02sec267.
In this fight for the title, Gustavo is keeping his feet on the ground. “Norberto Gresse and Andre Bragantini are ahead of me in the overall standings, and a lot can change in the 40 minutes we have tomorrow. Let’s just say being in pole position is more comfortable, but it’s not the solution for the competition’s panorama,” explained Sondermann.
