6 Playoff Drivers race on the streets of BrasÃlia
6 Nextel Cup drivers are guaranteed in the Playoff, with four spots to go. This will be decided here, on the tracks in BrasÃlia, on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, these 6 drivers were able to relax and enjoy their day in a different kind of race, with a special car that children usually have, called a ‘rolimã’ car. Thiago Camilo (Texaco Vogel Motorsport), Cacá Bueno (Eurofarma RC), Ingo Hoffmann (AMG Motorsport), Marcos Gomes and Ricardo MaurÃcio (Medley/ A. Mattheis) and Valdeno Brito (Neo QuÃmica - Neosoro/ JF Racing) dressed up in full protective gear and raced down hill right on the margins of Lake Paranoá.
After fussing about for a while about the rolimã cars, the drivers finally settled down to start the race. The sun was scorching and the air was dry, but they faced it all with good spirits until the cars started to break with the weight pressure. By the end of it all, Ricardo MaurÃcio was named winner and a few tired and slightly injured drivers made their way back to the autodromo, laughing about the whole episode.
